Afghanistan has an unemployment rate of over 40%, and with over 40 years of war, has experienced long periods of economic instability. Tahmina is a women of color-owned tea brand offering organic wellness teas and ethically sourced Afghan saffron. Saffron is the most expensive spice in the world and is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. In Afghanistan, women perform 80% of saffron production—an incredible economic opportunity for women in a country where only 19% of females participate in the workforce. In the midst of the crisis in Afghanistan, all proceeds of sales will be donated to on-the-ground relief efforts.
Organic, steamed Chinese green tea with ginger root, lemongrass, peppermint, and saffron. Rich in vitamins and antioxidants, this whole leaf blend has a vegetal body finished off with refreshing notes. Pair with: honey to taste, a picnic blanket, and a sunny autumn afternoon.
Each case pack contains 6 tins of Saffron Sencha Green Tea Blend. Each canister contains 12 biodegradable pyramid bags that can be steeped up to three times, making 36 cups of tea. Our tins are made from USA recycled steel with airtight closure to ensure optimal freshness.
