Through our partnership with Tahmina, your gift empowers women and farmers in rural Afghanistan.

Afghanistan has an unemployment rate of over 40%, and with over 40 years of war, has experienced long periods of economic instability. Tahmina is a women of color-owned tea brand offering organic wellness teas and ethically sourced Afghan saffron. Saffron is the most expensive spice in the world and is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. In Afghanistan, women perform 80% of saffron production—an incredible economic opportunity for women in a country where only 19% of females participate in the workforce. In the midst of the crisis in Afghanistan, all proceeds of sales will be donated to on-the-ground relief efforts.

Description

Whole threads of pure saffron, handpicked from the fields of northwestern Afghanistan. With an average ISO color reading of 250 (and some as high as 280), Tahmina’s selection is some of the highest quality and most potent saffron you’ll ever find.

Rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, saffron has been used in many medicinal traditions for depression/anxiety, immunity, acne, digestion, PMS, high blood pressure, and more.

Each tin contains 1 gram of Grade 1 Saffron, according to ISO Standard 3632. Organically grown, non-GMO, vegan. Our tins are packaged with care and finished off with a sealed label to ensure optimal freshness.

This gift usually ships within via USPS, UPS or Fedex ground services. Shipping transit times may vary depending on delivery location.

RETURN POLICY:

We accept unworn, unused, and uncustomized items within 30 days from the date of purchase. All items must be returned with the hang tags attached and all original packaging. Any merchandise without these items, or considered worn, may not qualify for a refund. All products that have been customized (etched, embroidered, etc) are not eligible for return unless they arrive with a manufacturer defect or have been damaged in shipping.

Items in the following categories cannot be returned: Fine jewelry, consumable food products, alcohol and print on demand wall art. These items are not eligible for returns unless defective or damaged. If you receive a defective item or an item that has been damaged in transit, we will happily replace the item with a new one - just give us a call. Please note, any items that arrive damaged from shipping must be reported to Gifts for Good within 5 days of receiving it.

HOW TO MAKE A RETURN:

Please contact our Customer Support team anytime by emailing hello@giftsforgood.com or calling (877) 554-1550 and make your return request, stating the order number, and the product name of the item you want to return. Once we have authorized the return, we will send you information on where to send the item(s). We will need you to securely repackage your merchandise and cover or remove any original mailing address label or carrier barcodes from the package.
