Ethical Bags

For us it comes down to three things we can show you: who made it, how many hours of employment it provided, and what the materials did to the planet on their way to you. Every bag on this page is made by a cause partner with a verified social or environmental impact, not an anonymous factory. Some are made by survivors rebuilding their lives, some by artisans in fair-wage workshops, some from materials that were headed for landfill. We can tell you which, for every bag.

Each bag carries an impact metric from its maker: hours of fair-wage employment, a person employed through a training program, pounds of material kept out of landfill, or trees planted. Those metrics roll up into the impact report for your gifting program, so you can show your team or your clients what the budget did beyond the bag.

Many bags can be customized with your branding, depending on the product and material. Most custom orders ship in 2-5 weeks, so get in touch early if you have an event date in mind. Several of these bags feature in our print-on-demand collection, and can be included in your gift platform collections for your gift recipient to redeem as one-off branded orders.

Yes. These are working bags, not gift-box novelties. Parker Clay leather is full-grain and develops a patina rather than wearing out. Terra Thread’s 14 oz canvas is built to stand on its own when open. Rareform’s vinyl was designed to survive years outdoors on a billboard before it became a bag. Patagonia’s Black Hole duffels are the same gear haulers sold in their own stores.

The canvas totes are the usual answer: light, flat-packable, and inexpensive to brand at volume. The Terra Thread Executive Work Tote and Made Free pouches are popular for new-hire kits because they hold a laptop or tech cords and look like something people chose rather than something they were given. For conference bags that double as the kit itself, a tote with a pouch inside is a combination we assemble often.
